Outdoor Gear Exchange: Consumer Insights Survey 

The Ask:

Measure the success of the shop’s current staffing, merchandising, product offerings, and overall shopping experience.

The Answer:

A self-designed online consumer insights survey, sent to entire customer database via email and through directed traffic from a link given at point-of-purchase. Customers were incentivized to participate with gear and in-store credit giveaways.

The Outcome:

Six departments surveyed and ranked for successfulness from Net Promoter Score data received, highlighting major merchandising and staffing strengths and opportunities for improvement. Survey garnered over 700 responses and due to its effectiveness, is utilized as a basis of comparison and decision-making from year-to-year.
